Are you ready to launch your civil engineering career and help shape the future of transportation infrastructure? We are looking for a Graduate Engineer – Transportation to join our team in Duluth, Minnesota. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated early-career engineer to gain hands-on experience designing roadway and intersection improvements that make communities safer and more connected.
In this role, you will collaborate with experienced transportation engineers and planners while building technical skills in roadway design, traffic analysis, and public engagement.
For more than a century, MSA has partnered with communities to design places where people live, work, and connect. Since 1919, our work has helped shape the infrastructure and spaces that allow communities to grow—supporting families, local businesses, and neighborhoods that feel like home.
What started as a single entrepreneurial engineer in Baraboo, Wisconsin has grown into a thriving, 100% employee-owned firm of nearly 600 professionals serving clients across the country. While our reach has expanded, our commitment to communities and clients remains the same.
Being 100% employee-owned ESOP means we take pride in every project we touch. Our people stand behind the quality of our work, the integrity of our relationships, and the trust we’ve built with clients over generations. At MSA, we believe the best results come from collaboration, shared ownership, and a genuine commitment to helping communities succeed.
As a Graduate Engineer on our transportation team, you will contribute to a variety of roadway and intersection projects. Responsibilities include:
Perform CAD drafting and 3D design for intersection and highway improvement projects
Assist with traffic and intersection capacity modeling and prepare reports summarizing results
Support development of public meeting materials, including presentation boards and visual displays
Collaborate with project managers and senior engineers to develop design solutions
Participate in project coordination and team discussions throughout planning and design
We are looking for a candidate who is eager to learn, collaborate, and grow in transportation engineering.
