Overview

MSA Professional Services is seeking an ERP Support Technician to join our team. In this role, you will provide first-line technical support for our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, assisting employees with troubleshooting, managing user accounts, supporting training efforts, and ensuring smooth daily operations. You will serve as a caring, approachable, and resourceful partner for staff across the organization, helping to solve problems and improve ERP use company-wide.

 

This position is a great opportunity for someone with foundational IT or business systems experience who is eager to grow into ERP system expertise.

Responsibilities

What you will do:

Client Relationships

  • Provide timely, professional first-line ERP support to employees across the organization.

  • Resolve issues through tickets, email, instant messaging, and calls.

  • Escalate complex issues to the ERP Administrator when needed.

  • Document user issues and resolutions for future reference.

  • Support ERP training sessions and contribute to user guides and documentation.

Project Responsibilities

  • Assist with ERP-related projects under the direction of senior staff.

  • Help test new system features, patches, and upgrades.

  • Collect user feedback and contribute to system improvement discussions.

  • Support data entry and validation tasks during implementations or updates.

Technical Performance

  • Perform day-to-day tasks such as updating user permissions and generating basic reports.

  • Troubleshoot ERP-related issues and apply documented resolutions.

  • Support and document software upgrade testing.

  • Identify issues requiring escalation to other team members.

Qualifications

Education

  • Required: High School Diploma or GED

  • Preferred: Associate’s Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field

Experience

  • Internship or 0–2 years of experience in IT support or business systems

  • Exposure to ERP systems through coursework, internships, or entry-level roles

  • Experience with Microsoft D365 or aec360 is a plus

  • Experience in the Architectural, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

  • Basic understanding of ERP systems and business processes

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)

  • General IT troubleshooting knowledge

  • Strong communication skills—both verbal and written

  • Organizational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teammates and support staff at all levels

  • Adaptability to shift priorities and respond quickly to user needs


Working Conditions

  • This position can be performed in an office, hybrid, or remote environment.

The hourly wage for this position ranges from $21 to $38 per hour commensurate with experience. Higher compensation within this range will be paid to candidates with significant experience and exceptional qualifications.
