As part of our team, you’ll gain exposure to projects that improve the places where people live, work, and gather. You’ll be surrounded by professionals who are eager to share their knowledge and help you discover what inspires you most in the field of architectural engineering.

MSA internships are typically at least 12 weeks in duration, ranging from mid-May 2026 to mid-August 2026, with start/exit dates confirmed later in the hiring process. For engineering students seeking consulting experience with building projects, this is the position for you!   Additionally, an internship at MSA provides you with a collaborative environment across the firm among the 40 interns each summer.

Why Join Us

  • Gain hands-on experience that builds your skills and confidence for the future.

  • Work on projects that make a real difference in communities.

  • Discover career paths in architectural engineering while being supported every step of the way.

Please note that MSA receives an extremely high volume of applicants for our internship listings, and we appreciate your patience. The team will be in touch as soon as possible. Even if you applied online, the team encourages you to visit the MSA career fair booth if visiting your campus this fall.

  • Submit plans for review and coordinate with project teams.
  • Review shop drawings and provide feedback.
  • Attend project meetings and engage in team discussions.
  • Perform on-site construction observation to connect design with practice.

Qualifications

What you bring:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering (or related field).

  • Experience with Revit and AutoCAD preferred.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications preferred.

  • Superb written, verbal, and visual communication skills with colleagues and clients at all levels.

  • Excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to coordinate information across disciplines in a fast-paced environment.
