MSA is looking for a licensed Senior Project Engineer – MEP to support one of our long-standing architectural partners on impactful community-focused projects throughout Florida’s Gulf Coast, including Sarasota, Tampa, St. Petersburg, Clearwater, and Orlando.
In this role, you’ll step into a trusted relationship, helping deliver essential MEP services that shape public spaces and enhance the quality of life for local residents. You’ll also play a key role in growing our regional presence, both in team capacity and project reach.
While the position offers remote flexibility, close proximity to the listed cities is essential to maintain strong client connections and support on-the-ground project needs.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
Lead the pursuit and kickoff of MEP-focused projects, helping shape technical solutions that support client goals and community impact.
Manage the full lifecycle of MEP projects—including planning, design execution, budget tracking, invoicing, and closeout—ensuring technical excellence and timely delivery.
Drive internal innovation, participating on committees and contributing to ongoing improvements in MEP project management practices.
Lead multidisciplinary project teams with autonomy, providing technical direction and ensuring collaboration across engineering disciplines.
Serve as the central point of contact for both clients and internal teams, fostering clear communication and strong working relationships from start to finish.
Oversee a variety of projects, from standalone MEP systems to complex, integrated designs within larger architectural or infrastructure developments.
WHAT YOU BRING
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering required; a Master’s degree is highly valued.
10+ years of consulting experience, showcasing a solid foundation in engineering design, project delivery, and client collaboration.
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of Florida required, ensuring compliance with state regulatory standards.
Strong background in plan production and project management, with a proven ability to guide projects from concept through completion.
Deep technical expertise in one or more core disciplines, paired with high proficiency in ERP systems and a strong focus on project management and client communication.

The salary for this position ranges from $88,871 to $142,194 per year commensurate with experience. Higher compensation within this range will be paid to candidates with significant experience and exceptional qualifications.
