Overview

We are currently seeking a full-time Senior Project Engineer - Structural to join our team in any of our Wisconsin office locations, with this listing being for our Milwaukee office. This position is on our Buildings Service Line and will be supporting architectural engineering projects such as schools, commercial buildings, banks, churches, and other building types. 

 

As Senior Project Engineer, this position will work collaboratively with other MSA employees including architects, structural engineers, and MEP engineers. This position will serve as a liaison with external architectural clients, serving as a leader to grow that line of business.

Responsibilities

The work you may do

  • Provide project management for structural engineering projects
  • Prepare structural design calculations for structures
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to MSA employees
  • Perform field investigations to evaluate structural conditions, and develop repair alternatives
  • Communicate with clients, agencies, stakeholders, and the public
  • Business development related to structural projects with current and future clients

Qualifications

What you bring
Skills & Knowledge / Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related field) required with an emphasis in structures preferred
  • 8+ years of prior structural engineering experience required
  • WI PE license required, SE preferred
  • AIA license preferred
  • Experience with Revit preferred
  • Experience with project types such as churches, banks, schools, and commercial buildings
  • Previous experience with project management and client relationships required, or desire to step into that role
  • This position requires you to have authorization to work in the United States for any employer. We will not provide sponsorship for this position.
