MSA has an opportunity for a Graduate Engineer II – Public Works / Staff Engineer at our Champaign, IL office. You will have the opportunity to see, and contribute in, projects from start to finish. The work you may do

• Design and construction of public works infrastructure projects
• Preparation of plans, details, specifications, and bidding documents
• Preparation of technical reports and regulatory permits for projects
• General project management for multiple projects, including planning, scoping, monitoring budgets and QA/QC
• Client interaction, including meetings with existing and new clients as needed

What you bring
Skills & Knowledge / Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or similar) required
• 2+ years of prior experience serving multiple clients required
• PE license preferred 
• EIT required
• The ideal candidate will have an interest in Public Works and able to interact with clients
• Knowledge of regulations and requirements (Illinois preferred)
• Experience in managing multiple projects and client needs preferred
• Experience with funding and grants available to municipalities preferred
• A desire to learn more about public works engineering and consulting
