Overview

MSA has an opportunity for a full time Transportation Project Engineer/Manager as part of our Mobility Service Line.  The position will be based in Minnesota.  Currently our office locations include Duluth and St. Paul, however a remote work agreement may be acceptable for an exceptionally qualified candidate. As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to see, and contribute in, projects from start to finish. Responsibilities

The work you will do

  • Project management including project planning, scoping, budgeting and QA/QC
  • Client relations including virtual or applicable in person meetings with existing and new clients
  • Design of transportation infrastructure projects
  • Preparation of details, specifications, and bidding documents
  • Preparation of technical reports and regulatory permits for projects
  • Review and respond to proposals for projects with assistance from MSA team members
  • Assist with mentoring junior staff

Qualifications

What you bring
Skills & Knowledge / Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required
  • Minimum of 10 years of mobility/transportation engineering experience is required
  • PE license required (MN PE preferred)
  • MnDOT project experience preferred
  • Previous client liaison and project management experience or a desire to step into that role is required
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Desire to work in a consulting environment
  • We are looking for a seller/doer that is self-motivated with a desire to be hands on
